Become A Norsemen Truck Driver

Standard Driver:

A.   Full-time over the road drivers

To be a full-time over the road driver you must achieve at least 30,000 miles per quarter and achieve a minimum of 5.5 mpg.

  1. 0-2 yrs             $.32CPM
  2. 3-4 yrs             $.33CPM
  3. 5-6 yrs             $.34CPM
  4. 7-9 yrs             $.35CPM
  5. 10-14 yrs         $.36CPM
  6. 15-19 yrs         $.37CPM
  7. 20+ yrs            $.38CPM

.10 CPM of wage is per diem non-taxable (example: .32 CPM = .22 taxable and .10 CPM non tax)

B.   Part-time over the road drivers

A part-time driver is one that does not achieve 30,000 paid miles per quarter.

  1. 0-2 yrs             $.32CPM
  2. 3-4 yrs             $.33CPM
  3. 5-6 yrs             $.34CPM
  4. 7-9 yrs             $.35CPM
  5. 10-14 yrs         $.36CPM
  6. 15-19 yrs         $.37CPM
  7. 20+ yrs            $.38CPM

C.   Local Driver

Local drivers are those who do “day runs” which mean that you are out and back within a twenty-four hour time frame.

Local pay matrix scale:

  1. 0-30 Miles                  $.92/loaded mile
  2. 31-50 Miles                $.82/loaded mile
  3. 51-200 Miles              $.52/loaded mile
  4. 201 Miles and over     $.32/loaded mile

Pay and Incentives

Mileage Bonus:

Full-time Driver maintaining above 5.5 MPG on a rolling quarterly average. Paid on first check of the month for previous month miles

            *11,000 miles $.01/mile
*12,000 miles $.02/mile
           *13,000 miles $.03/mile

Fuel Bonus:

Full-time driver, will be determined and paid off of rolling quarterly average. Paid on second check of the month for pervious month.

*6.0 MPG $.02/mile
*6.5 MPG $.04/mile
*7.0 MPG $.06/mile
*7.5 MPG $.08/mile
*8.0 MPG $.10/mile

Recruitment:

$1000 Standard/ $2000 Master Driver Recruitment Payouts: These will be paid out after new recruit has been employed for 6 months and a determination has been made on if the new recruit qualified for the Master Driver Program.

  3. Health Insurance Reimbursement Plan (FT employees) Norsemen puts $174/month into your plan. These monies can be used towards your health insurance premium, medical out-of-pocket expenses, or dependent care.
  4. Rider Program (FT driver, eligible after 6mo. and must be an immediate family member above the age of 16)
  5. Paid Vacation (FT employee-can be granted as such: 1wk after a year, 2weeks after 3 yrs, & 3 weeks after 10 yrs)
  6. AFLAC-made available solely at employees expense (Norsemen only facilitates the payroll deduction of AFLAC we do not sell or manage it)
  7. Yearly Safety Bonus that increases each year you qualify.

Master Driver:

Requirements:

  • You must be a Full-time Freight Driver
  • Achieve an 11,000 miles/month average minimum
  • Maintain a minimum of 6.5-mpg monthly average
  • Have no major chargeable accidents (nothing over $1000)
  • You have not obtained any major company violations

Program Period:

The Master Program will run on a 12 month basis. It will run concurrent with the Safety Bonus from October 1- September 30th.

In addition to the standard driver pay and incentives

  1. 0-2 yrs             $.01/CPM
  2. 3-4 yrs             $.01/CPM
  3. 5-6 yrs             $.01/CPM
  4. 7-9 yrs             $.01/CPM
  5. 10-14 yrs         $.01/CPM
  6. 15-19 yrs         $.01/CPM
  7. 20+ yrs            $.01/CPM

Student Driver

Norsemen has up to a $3000 tuition reimbursement for recent graduates that have graduated from a qualified program, meet minimum requirements, pass the Norsemen Training Program, and are employed with Norsemen for a minimum of a year.
